Vision Manager

Open in Kareenos

Turn photos, voice notes and video from the field into something your agents and jobs can act on.

On this page

Vision Manager turns photos, voice notes and video into evidence the system can read and act on.

Where to find it

Press Open in Kareenos above, or open the left menu, choose Channels, Channels Hub, and select the Vision Manager tab. The Channels hub needs edit rights. Field staff never open this page: the capture button in the MyKareenos mobile app feeds the same channels.

What a capture session is

A capture session documents one subject: a batch of photos, an optional spoken note, and an optional video, uploaded together into a named channel. A channel is the kind of thing being documented, for example Incident Reports, Shelf Audits or Pre-Trip Checks. Grouping matters, because everything in one session is treated as evidence about the same subject.

What happens when a session is finalised

Finalising the session transcribes any spoken note into text and notifies every agent and Job attached to that channel. Each one reads the same evidence from its own angle: one might judge whether a shelf is correctly stocked, another might open a Task for a supervisor, another might write a row into a Live Workbook.

Step by step: creating a channel and a first session

  1. Open Vision Manager. A new account shows no channels and two buttons: New Session and New Channel.
  2. Press New Channel, name it after the kind of inspection (not after a customer), and save.
  3. Attach the agents or Jobs that should react to it. The easiest way is to ask the Super Agent: "when a Shelf Audit session is finalised, have the audit agent score it and open a task if anything is missing".
  4. Press New Session, choose the channel, upload a few photos and optionally a voice note or a video, then finalise it.
  5. Open the session and read what each attached processor concluded. The same session updates as they report back.
  6. Give field staff the channel: the instant capture button in the mobile app lists it.

Tip

One subject per session. A single session holding photos of four different incidents gives every processor a muddled picture and produces muddled answers.

Common mistakes

  • Creating a channel per customer instead of per kind of inspection, which multiplies wiring for no benefit.
  • Uploading files and never finalising: nothing is processed until the session is closed.
  • Expecting a processor to run on a channel it was never attached to.
